Application

Chrome magnesia brick is a kind of composite alkaline firebrick with chrome ore and sintered magnesia as raw materials, which contains 18% ~ 30% chromium oxide and 25% ~ 55% magnesium oxide in proper proportion. Generally, the amount of chromium ore added less than 50% is called magnesia-chromium brick, and the amount greater than or equal to 50% is called chrome-magnesium brick. In addition to the sintered chrome-magnesia brick fired under weak oxidizing atmosphere, the product can also be made into unfired brick, fused cast brick, electromelting recombined chrome-magnesia brick and loose material form. Can be used for converter, induction furnace, non-ferrous metal smelting furnace lining, electric arc furnace, open furnace, soaking furnace side wall, etc. When the proportion of chrome ore and sintered magnesia is 50%, the product has the greatest thermal shock resistance, sometimes also known as thermal shock stability chrome magnesia brick, mainly used as alkaline flat furnace top brick. Due to the adjustment of metallurgical industry and the increase of refractory material, most of the large and medium-sized cement factories in China have successively promoted and used chrome magnesia brick in the firing belt. This kind of refractory brick has the advantage of high temperature resistance, which is superior to other kinds of refractory materials used in rotary kiln firing belt. However, due to the different methods used, the fire-resistant effect is also different.
